QUICKSCREEN DISPLAYS PRODUCTION INFORMATION
DESIGN BY YOU. The prices on QuickScreen Displays.com include printing and mounting, but not design. Often times the design is what will set your product apart from the competition. You may design your artwork keeping the following instructions in mind:
• SOFTWARE. Though you may use any design software to create your QuickScreen graphics, the most popular compatible programs are Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustator, Adobe In Design, and Quark.
• FILE FORMAT.
1. The file should be designed either at final size, or to scale of final size. The final size of the visible graphics for your QuickScreen is the size listed on the hardware. For example, if your display is 33.5"W x 79"H, that is the size of the visible area to format your graphics. You do not need to design with a bleed. WE will add an additional 6" of white space to the bottom of your graphics that will mount inside the QuickScreen and remain invisible.
2. To maintain the clarity, vibrance, and high resolution of your display, the file should be designed at a minimum of 150 dpi at FINAL size. Please keep this in mind if you are designing a file to scale. For example, if you are designing a file at half size, to be expanded for printing, you will need to design it at a minimum of 300 dpi.
3. Please design your files in RGB.
4. Though we prefer a PDF file for production, you may also submit JPG, JPEG, TIF, AI, PSD and EPS. With all files, we ask that you also submit the support files (logos, images, etc.) that are embedded in the final production file. Also, we ask that you keep your original design file on hand in case slight changes need to be made.
• FILE TRANSFER.
After you have completed your design and are ready to transfer the files you will need to contact QuickScreen Displays.com. There are two ways to get your artwork to us. Most efficiently is by FTP upload. This works best, especially when a quick turnaround is necessary. You may also send us a CD or DVD with your artwork. This may be suitable if you would like to send an 8.5" x 11" printout for reference, if you are unfamiliar with the FTP process, or if the file is simply to large to upload (1GB or more). Either avenue is acceptable.
DESIGN BY US.
QuickScreen Displays.com has in-house design that will work with you to produce a display. Costs will vary based on what is provided by you for use such as high resolution images, logos, etc. Basic design when provided these elements can be at minimal costs, however complete design from ground up will require more time and scrutiny. Design fees are based on hourly rates and turnaround time. Please contact us to discuss your individual design needs.
PROOFING. After your artwork is complete and approved you may desire a proof. There are two different proofs that QuickScreen Displays.com can provide.
• SOFT PROOF. Included in your print price is the soft proof. A soft proof is low resolution PDF file that we provide that confirms the artwork that we have received, ready to print. Included in the confirmation will be a breakdown of PANTONE colors as they are relative to your QuickScreen. We suggest that you obtain an authentic PANTONE color chart for reference. There is a margin of error in relying solely on a computer monitor image for color verification as monitor contrasts will vary. Another form of soft proof is a printout on your side that is approved and sent to us for reference.
• HARD PROOF. A hard proof is not included in the price of your QuickScreen display but may be requested. A hard proof is an actual print sample of your colors on the material with laminates finished. This print sample will be sent to you in a FEDEX envelop. Due to material, production queue downtime, and shipping, there is a fee of $20 for hard proofing. Please keep in mind that it may take up to 3 days to receive a hard proof and this will affect turnaround time.
Call us Monday - Friday 9AM-5PM, or Email us after hours, and a Quickscreen Displays representative will help you through the process!
